In which case it will be reverted back to "the ban hammer" in GW2.

I have used GWx2 for a long time. Both my accounts are OK as of right now, no ban for me. Of course, I've never used a bot. I do everything manually - me, keyboard, mouse... and two (windowed) copies of GW.

So you have to wonder what your "innocent" guildies were doing with their two accounts... maybe there's more to it, that they don't want to admit to eg. run bot on secondary account, use GWx2 to transfer loot from bot to main account (thinking that only the bot account could be banned).

If I get banned myself at some point in the future - THEN I will believe that GWx2 is to blame.

That was the risk.
Maybe they added some kind of protocol to detect third party programs affecting GW.

The Steam in-game layer, of course, is not affected.

Darn
Still, I wonder if Dhuum will be in GW2 and how he can have a scythe if apparently the very notion doesnt exist in the game, to my disappointment.

Also did not Anet state some time ago that if people use the macros on the G-13 keyboard that they will consider that as botting and that people should not do it?

It's talking about assistance when your shit goes haywire, not about them actually banning people. Nice try though.

Nope, once you are proven guilty, if you really are innocent, then there was some kind of mistake.

Bans are not always death penalties. Sometimes there are room for a review.

But make no mistake. A ban is the applied sentence, not the trial.

There are likely people on the TK who use Texmod and people who have made mods with it. Ban the Test Krewe before they can buff dervish!

I don't know how other MMO's deal with this. People wanted action and wanted it now. I don't PvP so after a couple hours of posting this, I won't care.

Actually it depends the level of automation with the use of these macros, don't take the piss. I'm sure you can find a few things to do, bind a few skills for a build together or key combos etc.

Will this happen in the future to those banned while playing?

Because why waste this amazing way to ban people.

"Honestly, though, as previously stated, it is unlikely that we would actively pursue or action those who use such programs in a positive manner, that is, those whose only interest is creating benign mods of our games."

Nice troll, I mean, try, though.
